February 2017, Orlando Mendez

I’d like to introduce you to a wonderful photographer named Orlando Mendez. He founded a Facebook group called, “Coney Island—Photographers & Artists—Past, Present, and Future,” where I discovered a treasure of mostly contemporary Coney Island art. More to come from other artists. It’s practically a genre in itself. So, thank you Orlando.

    In the photo of the stiltwalker, the woman dressed in white to the right, taking a photo, looks remarkably like Sheila Martin! Lovely photos, very evocative . . .
